FAMILY ALBUM Contemporary Paintings Exploring Family, Memory and Identity

The Family Album collection explores the personal and emotional connections held within family photographs and memories.

Drawing on the familiar imagery of the family album, Stephanïe Vandëm transforms moments from the past into contemporary works that explore memory, identity, relationships and the passage of time.

The collection considers how photographs preserve particular moments while memories themselves continue to change, creating a space between what is remembered, what is recorded and what is imagined.
