LIFTING  is a response to the heavy events of the Scottish Highland Games. In particular, the Stone Lifting, Backhold & Tug of War challenges - some of which have only recently been reintroduced as competitions. These exquisite and magestic figures capture the physical struggle, personal endurance and showmanship of atletes from all over the world who continue this tradition with a strong sense of Scottish cultural identity.
